What Senior Care Compass claims
To the extent original and protectable, Senior Care Compass claims rights in its original written explanations, original checklists and organization, custom visual layout, site graphics created for the project, original software code, and original selection/arrangement of site materials.
What we do not claim as exclusive property
Copyright does not give exclusive rights over facts, ideas, methods, systems, government data, or material that is otherwise in the public domain. Third-party articles, databases, names, logos, trademarks, photographs, data, and linked materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and applicable terms. Merely linking to or summarizing an official resource does not transfer ownership to Senior Care Compass.
Permitted use
Visitors may view the site and print or save reasonable portions for personal, family caregiving, education, and other uses permitted by law. Fair use and other legal exceptions remain available. Attribution is appreciated when sharing a limited original checklist or excerpt.
Uses requiring permission
Except where the law permits, do not copy substantial original portions of Senior Care Compass to launch a competing branded site, sell copied checklists or guides, remove copyright notices and present the work as your own, or reproduce original design/code for commercial exploitation without permission.
Copyright notice
The U.S. Copyright Office explains that a copyright notice generally uses the © symbol (or the word Copyright), the year of first publication, and the copyright owner’s name. Notice is optional for modern works but can provide useful public notice of a claim.
Registration
Copyright generally arises automatically when an original work of authorship is fixed. U.S. Copyright Office registration can provide additional enforcement benefits. Senior Care Compass should consider registering the stabilized website content/code once the legal owner of record is finalized.
